Shipping and Delivery Policy
This shipping and delivery policy (“Shipping and Delivery Policy”) governs the shipment and delivery of any items you purchase through a KidKraft website. This Shipping and Delivery Policy is subject to the Terms of Use for the KidKraft website on which you made your purchase.
Free Shipping promotions shall be subject to promotional details and we reserve the right to restrict the territories. Only 1 promo code may be used per purchase at checkout.
Estimated shipment times, if available, are provided solely for your convenience and neither KidKraft nor its third-party shipment providers will be liable for any damages or loss as a result of the failure to meet a shipment estimate.
In no event will KidKraft or its third-party shipment providers be responsible for delays in delivery due to natural disasters, inclement weather, governmental acts, or any other situations beyond their reasonable control.
Order Cancellations: Cancellations or address changes are not guaranteed for all orders.
KidKraft will only accept shipments to a valid street address. We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes, Army Post Office (APO) or Fleet Post Office (FPO), and we do not deliver to freight forwarders or forwarding agents.
Certain delivery addresses may fall into an Extended Area Service Zone which increases the complexity, delivery distance and the delivery cost which may result in cancellation of your order. KidKraft will notify you via email if your order is cancelled, and you will be refunded.
While our products are sold by major retailers in Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, we do NOT ship products or replacement parts directly to these areas.
Shipping Charges:
- Free shipping offer is valid on indoor item orders shipped via UPS or FedEx totaling $75 or more after discounts and before shipping, handling, and/or taxes are added and applies automatically at checkout.
- For outdoor orders, our flat rate shipping fees are applied at checkout and range from $50 to $149. Shipping fees are based on a number of factors, such as the size, weight, and box count of the item. Most playhouses will carry a $50 shipping fee, while any multi-level playhouses will ship for $129.
Shipping Time Frames:
Indoor items and most single-level playhouses:
- Ship via UPS Ground/SurePost or FedEx Ground/SmartPost.
- Once shipped, you can expect your order to arrive in 3-7 days. We currently do not offer overnight or expedited shipping online.
Outdoor Swing Set Orders with Assembly:
*Installation lead time for assembly orders is currently 4-6 weeks from order date.
- Within five days of placing your order, you can expect a call from us to schedule your item delivery and installation date and to have you acknowledge that your yard is properly prepared and ready for a swing set to be installed.
- Your build site needs to be level and free of any obstructions that may interfere with assembly or item functionality. If your yard is not ready, it may result in a delayed installation date.
- Our process is to schedule assembly on the soonest available date and not hold orders at our branches for longer than 2 weeks after that soonest available date.
- If you request that we hold your order for longer than 2 weeks from the assembly date we provide, we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to complete your assembly at that time.
- Your order assembly may be pushed out even further to accommodate new customer orders and additional holding fees may apply.
- Installation fees include most U.S. locations, though remote areas may incur extra charges, which will be discussed with you prior to processing your order. If there is not an installer in your area, you’ll be notified right away with refund options.
- Once an installation date is set, your swing set will be delivered the day of installation by the installer. This eliminates the frustration of third-party delivery carriers blocking your driveway with heavy, bulky boxes.
- All trash and packaging from the swing set will be broken down and hauled off once the installer finishes delivering, unloading, and assembling your new swing set.
Outdoor Swing Set Orders without Assembly:
- Within 5-7 days of placing your order, you can expect your swing set to ship.
- Your swing set will ship via common carrier freight because of the weight and size of the boxes.
- Once shipped, the carrier will call you in advance to schedule a delivery appointment, generally within a 4-hour window.
- Deliveries are made via truck Monday through Friday and will require someone over the age of 18 to be present.
- The freight delivery service we use is curbside only which means the driver is NOT responsible for moving the boxes anywhere other than off the truck and onto the curb or the lawn.
- Any assistance you give the driver, whether the driver requests or not, is solely at your own risk. We are not responsible for ANY injury you or anyone else receives from any part of the delivery process.
- Upon delivery and before you sign the carrier’s delivery receipt, it is important to inspect your package to check that all items are accounted for.
Please note that due to ASTM Standards, our sets are intended for Residential use only. ASTM requires commercial sets for any installation for Daycares, Churches or public use.
This Shipping and Delivery Policy is subject to change without notice. The version of this Shipping and Delivery Policy in effect at the time of your purchase will govern your purchase. KidKraft recommends you print or otherwise retain a copy of this Shipping and Delivery Policy at the time of your purchase.
